Every figure on this site is attached to a date and a named public source, whether that's a Federal Reserve release, a Bank of Canada report, or a statistics agency table. If you've checked one of those figures against the document it cites and found a mismatch, or if a date looks wrong, this is where to flag it.

What helps when you write in

• The page the figure appears on, and the figure itself
• The source document you checked it against, including its date
• What you found there instead of what's shown on the page

The same goes for a calculation you've followed through and can't reconcile. Pages that show working, such as the arithmetic on The Balance Sheet, Explained, lay out each step with its inputs labelled, so it's worth naming the step where your own numbers diverge.
